Summer of 1950 sparked the beginning of the Korean war. As a police action, the United Nations called upon the help of 16 nations to aid South Korea in battle. The 8th country to answer this call was the Philippines.

Since then the Philippines, together with South Korea have been together in promotion of peace, prosperity, and economic stability. A bond strengthened by the war, and remembered today by the new generation.
